James River Rain Garden

This project was the result of a Cheseapeake Bay Preservation Area Variance that we designed, applied for, and recieved approval from the City of Newport News for a new pool installtion in the RPA on the James River. These pictures show the infiltration trenches around the new pool patio that absorb the water flow off the patio to intercept it before going into the James. All the downspouts from the house were tied into the new rain gardens. These gardens were planted with water loving perennials and shrubs.
